General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of Ankerfels GmbH
1. Scope of application
These General Terms and Conditions govern all offers, services, and bookings made by Ankerfels GmbH, hereinafter referred to as “Ankerfels Academy.”
By booking a course, a motorboat lesson, or purchasing a voucher or materials, these terms and conditions are deemed to have been accepted.
The version of the General Terms and Conditions valid at the time of conclusion of the contract shall apply.

2. Offer
The offers published on the website, in flyers, or other communication channels do not constitute a binding offer, but rather an invitation to book.

3. Prices
All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) and include statutory value added tax unless otherwise stated.

4. Conclusion of contract
By booking via the online form, by email, or by telephone, the customer submits a binding registration.

If a course or motorboat lesson cannot take place due to insufficient numbers, illness of the course instructor, technical problems or force majeure, the booking will be canceled and any amounts already paid will be refunded.
5. Right of withdrawal / Cancellation
There is no statutory right of withdrawal for services in Switzerland.
However, Ankerfels Academy offers the following voluntary policy for courses:
Cancellation up to 30 days before the start of the course: free of charge
Cancellation 13–7 days before the start of the course: 50% of the course fees
Withdrawal less than 7 days before the start of the course or no-show: 100% of the course fees
Withdrawal must be made in writing.
In the event of illness or accident, a reasonable solution can be considered upon presentation of a medical certificate.
6. Motorboat lessons – cancellation and postponement
Motorboat lessons can be canceled or postponed free of charge by telephone or in writing (email, SMS, WhatsApp) up to 24 hours before the agreed date.
If cancellation or postponement occurs between 24 and 5 hours in advance, 50% of the motorboat lesson fee will be charged.
If a cancellation or postponement is made less than 5 hours in advance, or if the customer does not show up for the appointment, the motorboat lessons will be charged at 100%.
In the event of illness or accident, a rebooking may be considered upon presentation of a doctor's certificate. If the medical cancellation takes place less than 5 hours before the appointment, the motorboat lessons will be charged at 100%.
7. Vouchers
Unless otherwise stated, vouchers are valid for 2 years.
They are transferable but not redeemable for cash.
Ankerfels Academy accepts no liability for loss or theft.
8. Course delivery and weather policy
Ankerfels Academy reserves the right to change course times or locations.
In the event of bad weather, strong winds, thunderstorms, flooding, or other safety risks, the course instructor will decide whether to postpone or adjust the lesson.
Alternative dates will be offered. A refund will only be granted if no alternative dates are possible.
9. Participation requirements
The following requirements apply to practical boating lessons and theory courses:
Minimum age in accordance with legal requirements
Ability to swim
Compliance with all safety instructions
Ankerfels Academy may exclude participants who disregard safety regulations or disrupt the course. In this case, no refund will be given.
10. Payment and monthly invoicing
Ankerfels Academy generally invoices its services on a monthly basis.
Invoices must be paid within the specified payment period.
In the event of late payment, a reminder fee of CHF 50 per reminder will be charged.
In addition, statutory default interest will be charged.
11. Liability
Participation in courses and motorboat lessons is at your own risk.
Ankerfels Academy is not liable for:
Damage caused by improper handling
Loss or damage to personal belongings
Accidents resulting from failure to follow safety instructions
Legal liability remains reserved for damage caused by gross negligence or intent on the part of Ankerfels Academy.
12. Customer reviews
If a customer writes a review about courses, services, or experiences at Ankerfels Academy, Ankerfels Academy is entitled to publish this text on all of its own communication channels (website, booking platform, social media, newsletter).
Ankerfels Academy reserves the right not to display reviews, or to display them only for a limited period of time, as well as to shorten or delete them for legal reasons (e.g. personal rights, discriminatory content) or for sales-related reasons.
Customer reviews reflect solely the personal opinion of the author.
13. Image and video material
Photos and videos may be taken during courses and motorboat lessons.
By participating, customers grant permission for this material to be used free of charge for website, social media, and advertising purposes.
Anyone who does not wish this to happen must notify Ankerfels Academy, Heinrichstrasse 225, 8005 Zurich, in writing before the start of the course.
14. Data protection
Ankerfels Academy undertakes to comply with the applicable data protection regulations.
Personal data will be used exclusively for course administration, invoicing, and communication.

15. Copyright
All course materials, presentations, graphics, and content are protected by copyright.
Distribution, reproduction, or commercial use is not permitted without written consent and will result in a collective compensation payment of CHF 25,000 to Ankerfels Academy.
16. Place of jurisdiction and applicable law
All disputes are governed exclusively by Swiss law.
The place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
17. Final provisions
Ankerfels Academy may amend these GTC at any time.
